Travis and Kaitlin met in the spring of 2010 while playing in a recreational sports league together on opposite teams. After crossing paths several times at social events, Travis finally decided it was time to ask Kaitlin on a date.
Their first “unofficial” date was watching the Lakers win the 2010 NBA finals at a local pub immediately followed the next night by Indian food and a wine bar. A whirlwind summer romance ensued, and Kaitlin took Travis down to Southern California over Labor Day to meet her family (they loved him!).
Travis followed the next month with a trip out to Michigan for Kaitlin to meet his family (they adored her!). It was there that Travis took Kaitlin on his “favorite” hike to his “favorite” hometown spot.
Things continued to flourish for the couple and in the spring of the following year, Travis moved in with Kaitlin. For the next 2 years, Kaitlin and Travis continued their fun-filled relationship in San Francisco.
In May of 2013, the couple decided it was time to put their roots down and buy a house – about 25 miles outside of San Francisco in Walnut Creek, CA. And after many trips down to Southern California to visit Kaitlin’s family, Travis decided it was finally time for another trip to Michigan…
In July of 2013, while visiting his hometown in Harbor Springs, Michigan, Travis once again took Kaitlin on his “favorite” hike to his “favorite” spot. Only this time, it wasn’t just to look at the view… it was to PROPOSE!
So here we are, 3 and ½ years after Travis and Kaitlin began their journey together. We are so excited for the next step in our lives, and CANNOT WAIT to share it with all of you!
